Working at Heights - Wind Turbine Operator

This course covers the knowledge and skills required to work safely, effectively and carry out basic rescue procedures on wind turbines, including self rescue.

Course Content

Each course is tailored to the clients requirements and if required, orientated to the specific job requirements of the participants. Where possible, the participants will be encouraged to use their own equipment and
documents for the training. The training course covers methods of access, egress and emergency situations. Training is designed to be realistic and customised to suit your particular work environment.

Topics include:

Delivery mode

Training is delivered face to face including both theory and practical components with a strong emphasis on the practical application of skills. The course involves practical sessions operating at height.

Duration

The course is conducted over a period of 8 hours generally run over a 1 day period.

Number of Participants

The course is conducted with a maximum participant to instructor ratio of 4:1.

Award and Recognition

Successful participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment in RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights tailored for Wind Turbine Operations.

Prerequisites

Participants are also required to hold a current CPR Certificate.
