HLTAID001 Provide Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

Awarding participants with a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment, the HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course is designed to train participants in the techniques of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.


Course Description

The HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course is designed to provide participants the ability to recognise life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR and use an AED in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for both First Aid trained individuals who need to rerfresh the CPR component of their First Aid Certificate as well as untrained persons who wish to learn how to manage life threatening conditions and perform CPR until further help arrives.

  • Legal and other requirements
  • Basic life support
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Demonstration and use of a defibrillator (AED)
  • Debriefing/Welfare

Course Duration

The course is delivered over either a 4 hour period or can be delivered over a 2 hour practical session with a pre learning component.


Delivery mode

Training is delivered face to face or a combination of face to face with pre course study. the course includes both theory and practical components. Practical application of skills is strongly emphasised.


Award and Recognition

Successful participants will be awarded the following National Units of Competency.

There is no pre requisite for this course
